Financial Assistance for Businesses
Bexley’s location as part of the Greater London Area enables the borough to offer financial assistance to businesses located here provided they fit the criteria.
SFI (Selective Finance for Investment in England) is a discretionary Government grant for businesses that are looking at the possibility of moving into or expanding within London. The majority of decisions on grants in the Greater London Area are made by the London Development Agency (LDA) (grants up to £2m). Decisions on grants over £2m are made by the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) formerly the DTI.
Another facility available in the borough is Sales Invoice Finance from Greater London Enterprise. It is designed to help growing, strongly established businesses expedite their revenue streams.
Business loans are also available from GLE oneLondon who specialise in lending to businesses when the banks won’t help.
